ÁÔÔÉ-ÊÁÔ S.A. (ATTIKI CONSTRUCTIONS - TOURIST AND QYARRY EXPLOITATION ANONYMOUS TECHNICAL - COMMERCIAL COMPANY ÁÔÔÉ - ÊÁÔ Á.Ô.Å.) was established in 1980 (Government Gazette 719/1.4.80) in Athens, 2 - 4 Nikitara street. Upon decision of the General Shareholders Meeting on 11/30/1993 the company headquarters were transferred to N. Psychiko, 1 Mantzarou street. Since 2000 (decision of the General Shareholders Meeting of 06/30/2000) the company is relocated in Athens, 109-111 Mesogeion Avenue. ATTI-KAT is registered to the Corporate Registry (no 13870/06/Â/86/13) and operates under Greek legislation (Law 2190/20) and the respective regulations of the Athens Stock Exchange and Capital Markets Committee.

The company duration has been settled for a 50-year period, until 04/01/2030 having renewal potentiality upon decision of the Shareholders Meeting.

ATTI-KAT S.A. is one of the largest construction companies in Greece and holds an 7th class contractors certificate regarding all project categories (highest classification in Greece) that allows free participation in tender offers and project undertaking of any kind announced by the Greek public sector. In order to qualify for that certificate, as of 08/23/2002, ATTI-KAT S.A. has proceeded in merger through absorption with S. SIGALAS S.A., ATEMKE S.A., ILMEK S.A. and EHOPLAST S.A. according to provisions of Law Í. 2166 / 1993 and Ê.Í. 2190/1920 by decision of Ê2-11158/23.8.2002.

ATTI-KAT S.A. activities cover all the operational sections of major infrastructure and private projects.

AÔÔÉ-ÊÁÔ S.A. is one of the largest construction companies in terms of technical equipment and transportation means, a fact that places the company in an advantageous position among its peers as it does not rely on subcontractors and therefore achieves higher profit margins through better cost control. The majority of the company's equipment is new and modern. ÁÔÔÉ-ÊÁÔ S.A. has strong capital structure, and holds a minor amount of long-term debt.

The construction sector is of major importance to the Greek Economy since it has a significant contribution in the country's economic growth and development. This is exhibited through participation in the Gross National Product reaching 10.8% to 13.6% during the 1990s. The flow of capital from the Second Community Support Framework (1994 - 2000) and the respective Third Community Support Framework (2001 - 2006 Chanteur funds) along with the resumption of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games has led and is expected to further promote construction sector growth rates, especially in relation to public sector and technical infrastructure projects.   • The company was distinguished as highest bidder in tenders regarding the exploitation of Vouliagmeni coast for a 10-year period with contract extension possibility, through ATTIKI AKTI VOULIAGMENIS S.A., having 40% participation in the respective company.
  • It holds participation percent along with other companies in ATTIKI TELECOMMUNICATIONS S.A., the main objective being the installation, operation and exploitation of telecommunications networks along with provision of telecommunications services and generally development of any kind of telecommunications activities.
  • ÁÔÔÉ-ÊÁÔ S.A. participates in ATTIKI ODOS S.A., the main objective being the construction and exploitation of Attiki Odos Highway for a 25-year period. This participation provides advantages from both the construction revenues and toll revenues for the 25-year period.
  • The company is expanding its activities in the real estate sector.
ÁÔÔÉ-ÊÁÔ S.A. estimates that conditions in the Greek constructions sector relating to competition, size and complexity of tender projects are to the advantage of major companies within the sector that employ specialization and economies of scale. Consolidation with the above mentioned companies will provide ATTI-KAT S.A. with the seventh class contractors certificate plus:
  • promote economies of scale and flexible organizational structure
  • improve the company equipment and fixed assets
  • utilize the good expertise of its subsidiaries in various project categories
For the realization of its long-term objectives and prospects the company will proceed in:
